This book has been discussed a lot lately on Hacker News and in recent media regarding technology addition and the Apple shareholders who expect apple to sovle this problem. This page is a stub for now, here because it is useful and I will write more about it, but also because it caused me to go back and revisit Scott Adam’s How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big: Kind of the Story of My Life because he references the addicitve nature of goals and suggests systems as an alternative.

How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big: Kind of the Story of My Life by Scott Adams

I’m going to write an article about this, but I am not yet done reading this book. However, when I came across this passage, I had to share it with basically everyone who has questioned their progress/success/goals/motivation, well basically anything in their life. To put it bluntly, goals are for losers. That’s literally true most of the time. For example, if your goal is to lose ten pounds, you will spend every moment until you reach the goal—if you reach it at all—feeling as if you were short of your goal.
